Our niece Rosie is coming over tonight for a sleepover. I'm really excited about this because we haven't had her over in forever. Sheldon asked her what she wanted to do when she had her sleepover and she said, "ummm make brownies and cookies, and watch movies."
Done and done. I think we'll make a brownie/cookie/cupcake combo like this. We always make brownies when the girls come over. It's a must. And they always get to lick the bowl!
I'm sure there will be nail painting and some kind of crafting going on as well. The last time I went to her house, she asked me to teach her how to crochet. This was about the same age our older niece asked me to teach her. I showed her how to make a chain with her fingers but all she really wanted to do was cut the yarn with my scissors over and over again. Since I'm working on watercoloring right now I think she might want to paint. I even have a little canvas for her to work on. I think she'll like that.
Our nieces love sleepovers at our house because they don't happen very often (we must remedy that) and I always have fun activites for them to do. In fact the first thing Anna wanted to do when she got home from being with her dad all summer was to have a sleepover at our house. I can't wait until little Olive gets to have her first sleepover. She'll love it!
On Saturday, we're going to see our friend Chad's Kiss cover band, Faux Kiss play. We haven't seen them live yet and I think it will be a good time all around.
