I'll admit crochet has been taking over my life as of late. This 365 project is pretty much all consuming. I figured it would be that way, and I'm a little ready for a) the year to be over or b) to be making smaller squares. I had a couple of "commissioned" embroidery pieces to do last week so I was able to get out all my floss and do a little stitching.
First off, a sloth onesie for baby Jane who was born yesterday Saturday! Congratulations Chris and Kristin!!
Kristin asked if I had ever made a sloth before and I hadn't but I was up for the challenge. I think he turned out really cute! Is it weird that I think hanging sloths are cute but sloths on the ground are just creepy looking? Anyway... It was time consuming for a oneise but it was worth it. I'll spend a little more time on something for a friend.
Second, my niece, Rosie, needed her name on her towel for summer camp and my sister-in-law asked if I could do something cute instead of her having to write her name on the tag with a marker. I hate embroidering on terry cloth, but this wasn't that bad.
I used the chain stitch, my favorite for monogrammed projects.
I have a sewing project I need to finish too but I don't know if that will happen before our big vacation this year.
What have you been working on? Leave links if you've blogged about finished projects recently. I'd love to see them!
