What I've bought in the past two weeks:
Crochet Today! Oct/Nov $4.99 - A new kid on the block, this being their second issue. I really like this one, even though they advertise red heart yarn. There are a lot of cute crochet items that appeal to me and don't seem to be quite as daunting as interweave crochet patterns.
Vogue Knitting Holiday 2006 $5.39(thanks to walmart for carrying this one!) - I love the red scarf on the front and will one day knit it.
Interweave Knits Holiday gifts special issue 2006 $7.99 - There are a couple of things in here I would love to make. The floral felted bag, bells and whistles socks, and the crocheted slippers being on the top. However, I don't think I actually love anyone enough to make anything from this magazine as a gift.
Craft: premiere issue! $14.99 - no I'm not crazy for spending this much on a magazine. This mag is amazing!!! I'll let you borrow it to prove myself sane. I even found a story that John would like in it about a custom figures maker that designs figures of the lesser known superheros. This is from the creators of Make: magazine. I've actually read a lot of this one already and I just got it a few hours ago. There are 23 projects inside and their website and blog also have tons of crafty tutorials for inspiration as well.
Adorn Fall/Winter 2006 $4.99 - Another newbie, this is their second issue as well. When I saw the premiere issue of this one back in September, I immediately fell in love. Its full of craftyminx fun! Its chocked full of every kind of craft possible and in the style I love. This issue is no different. If I had to give up every magazine to get this one I would. And at 4.99 a pop I would probably be making the more thrifty choice.
Grand total: $38.35 Not bad I guess considering I'm getting way more info than a book that would cost that much. Ok I don't feel guilty anymore.
