Well here it is my craft blog. I'll soon be adding pics of stuff I'm currently crafting or have made in the past. Right now I am in knitting mode. I just finished my first ever sock. Its a little big but I did the heel and everything right so that deserves a celebration.
I'm new to the wonderful world of knitting. I started a few years ago on a scarf that never got finished and picked it up again last Christmas. I made two scarves and stopped again. This November I picked up the needles again and got tons of knitting books from the library and taught myself everything I could. I've knitted something around 4 hats, 5 scarves, 1 pair of slipper socks (no heel), and 1 knee sock (with heel) so far. I love it! I love the way the yarn feels in my hands and how such simple instructions (most of the time) yield the most beautiful creations.
I'm still really bad at the whole gauging thing. I need to go to my LYS and take a lesson in that. I have been using cheap acrylic yarn and stuff, because I've just been learning. My mom got me a gift certificate to The Gourmet Yarn for Christmas. I'm just itching to buy something not synthetic.
